Hi, I’m Laura!

I’m an award-winning visual storyteller from NYC. My passion for storytelling has brought me all around the country, visiting over 37 states, camera-in-hand, shooting video documentaries about everyday people doing extraordinary things.

What makes me unique is the deep empathy, compassion and care I bring to every story. Getting to know each of my video subjects allows them to feel vulnerable with me, and for me to use my camera as a vehicle to share their truth. My video pieces are distinctive and standalone, because of my hands-on approach and compelling visuals. When producing a branded content project or lifestyle video, I lead with a story-first approach that connects the content to the audience.

In 2017, I was recruited by NBC to complete the newly-developing TODAY Original Video team, the digital arm of the TODAY Show, focusing mainly on producing, shooting and editing mini-documentaries.

I co-developed and executed original series including “Walk in My Shoes”, “Survivors: What Happens When the Headlines Fade”, “Faces of the Future”, “Modern Motherhood”, and more. Proving the profitability and audience for digital and streaming media at TODAY, we launched TODAY All Day, the TODAY Show’s 24-hour streaming channel. Our anchor-hosted series, including “Quoted By”with Hoda Kotb, “Through Mom’s Eyes” with Sheinelle Jones, “Dads Got This” with Craig Melvin, and “Mind Matters” with Carson Daly, have connected our online presence with our broadcast audience more than ever.

While at NBC, I have had over 35 of my video segments air on the morning broadcast of the TODAY Show (and counting). My cinematography, producing and editing has been honored with awards including the prestigious Gracie Award from the Alliance for Women in Media (2019 Winner, and 2020 Honorable Mention), a Shorty Award and several accolades from the Society for Features Journalism.

As a video producer at the first-ever digital video unit at Us Weekly, I collaborated to develop the creative video aesthetic for the brand - both branded content and editorial. Our team grew Us Weekly Video views 40x (to 41 million) in less than 2 years through innovative, shareable content distributed through a multi-platform approach on social media, Us Weekly's website and syndication partners, which became an integral part of the recent $100 million sale for the legacy magazine company.

I was responsible for the execution of original series, such as What’s in My Bag, 25 Things, Inside my Kitchen and Meet my Pet. I also produced, filmed and live-edited programming for Facebook Live, featuring live segments with celebrity guests and episodic series including The Bachelor Panel and Us Weekly News.

For Us Weekly’s branded content, I co-developed and filmed video spots & series for sponsors including  Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Clairol, Olay, Freixenet, Rent the Runway and more. I collaborated on the flagship "Red Carpet Daily" for AT&T - a multi-million dollar program renewed for 5 quarters.
